Counseling Services

Hands On Mind & Body Wellness Center offers psychological counseling by Master’s level therapists. We provide services for adults; individuals, couples, families and groups. Counseling at Hands On is caring and creative. Our therapists are Humanistically trained. Our approach takes into account, the whole person. Our staff is committed to providing a comfortable and safe environment for the purpose of enhancing our clients well being. We adhere to strong ethical & confidentiality principles. We are dedicated to providing the guidance that helps people feel better by creating the changes they want in their lives. We care deeply about our clients and always have their best interest in the forefront of our minds. Our staff strongly believes it is imperative that every individual be validated, seen and heard.

Counseling services are $80 for a full 60 minute session. Some insurances cover masters level therapy. Check your policy for specific coverage. Most of our clients are private pay. We do offer a sliding scale opportunity for those in need.
All first time counseling clients are welcome to a 30 minute free consultation as a way of being introduced both to our staff as well as our healing space.
Our Therapists:

Karen Kazyak, M.A., L.L.P. Karens’ therapeutic approach is eclectic, spiritual, and heart-centered. She consciously blends her firm academic foundation with her intuitive knowing to co-create a competent, safe and healing relationship between therapist and client.

Denise Urban, L.P.C. Denises’ training & clinical experience includes work with individuals that have been affected by trauma, depression, grief & loss. She respects her clients’ unique challenges and strengths while providing support and guidance in their efforts to reach their personal goals.

Karen Spicko Hemsteger M.S., L.L.P. Karen’s therapeutic training includes cognitive behavioral therapy, diagnostics, mindfulness, motivational interviewing, guided meditation, and hypnosis. She offers and eclectic approach, using therapeutic techniques in addition to being mindful of a person’s spiritual nature and connection. She feels it is important to assist people in identifying their strengths and to learn and practice skills to cope and to prosper in mind, body, and spirit. Karen looks forward to meeting you for groups, Reiki sessions, or counseling as you work together toward good health and joyful lives!
